CARTERTON SENIOR RESERVES MATCH REPORT
Carterton v Greytown 30 -
3
It had to come, and it did. With winter conditions
greeting us for our home game against Greytown. Wind and rain
combining with poor handling and a lack of intensity to provide,
only gave us one try from Brent Ewing and two penalties from Neil
Rodger, in the first half. Giving us an 11-3 lead at the
break.
The second half began as the first ended, before things settled
down. With strong running from Mana Apiata, Dwayne Mikaera
and Swanni Nicho providing a platform for a try for Mana
Apiata. A fine sole try for Brad Keating gave us a
comfortable but flattering 30-3 win and the retention of the Max
Wilson Trophy.
With a bye next week we need to regroup in earnest as we meet
the unbeaten Pioneer team on their home patch for our next
game.
Player of the
Day:
3 - Sam Overduin (aka Canada)
