A great way to finish the first round.

A bus trip to Pirinoa for Tuhirangi's Old Timers Day.  We were met with fine but windy conditions.  Playing into a stiff breeze our forwards soon took control.  Although at half time we only had one converted try to No.8 Dwayne Mikaere, at the break we were clearly the better team.

Tuhirangi ran everything from everywhere in the second half.   Huge midfield defence from Brad Keating and James Matthews and a superb  all-round forward display left Tuhirangi scoreless. 

With a try to Brodie Wilson after good pressure on the Tuhirangi line followed by a penalty gave Carterton a well deserved 17 - 0 victory.
