Mud, mud, glorious mud........not the best of conditions, but
another first half that produced some very good rugby. Tries to
Mikey Harmon, Lee Ewe, Jono Hurley and two to Lance Stevenson, with
four conversions to Jono Hurley had Carterton well ahead at the
break by 33 to 0.
The second half was very evenly contested with credit to Pioneer
who got their second wind and confidence after scoring an early
try. This was matched late in the game by a try to Matt Harrison
which saw Carterton take maximum points from the game with the
final score 38 to 5.
Congratulations to the team for winning the second round and now
all focus is placed on next week's semi-final against East Coast at
Carterton.
