Martinborough  v  Carterton Senior Reserves  57 - 7

 

The best possible result and start to the top six for us with five points in the kitty and a great for and against first up.

 

As expected Martinborough came out firing with a big pack running hard and straight from the whistle.  After the initial onslaught we took control of the game and led 34 - 7 at the break.

 

The second half was much of the same with our pack and backs both dominating.  Resulting in Carterton running out winners 57 - 7.

 

We scored 9 tries in all.  Flanker Eugene Moore dotting down two and Neil Rodgers three, adding five conversions for a personal tally of 25.

 

Another step up next week against Red Star, but all in all an ever improving team effort augers well for the rest of the round.
